Hello readers and writers! Liz here with some updates on the goings-on of my life since I left the Ohio Valley.
I moved to Chicago in February of this year — and what a move it has been. The decision to pack up everything and get outta dodge/Ohio was, in general, spurred by the desire to do new things, see new stuff, and find somewhere new to write.
And it’s been an adventure so far! Despite moving on probably the coldest, snowiest day of the year (way to go Liz, so smart), everything went well and my husband and I were able to get settled in with relatively few hangups. I got a job writing blog content for a marketing company, and I’ve been hammering away at the proverbial (and literal) keyboard ever since.
My personal writing is going well, though I don’t have much to show for it. I’ve been steadily filling a journal of happenings/stories/novel ideas during my long train rides to and from the office, and I have a feeling I’m going to have to start typing some of them up. (And of course I’ve been keeping up with NEAT. — did you know we have a deadline coming up? Get those stories/poems/essays in!)
But yep that’s pretty much it from me. I’m excited about the journey I’ve started in Chicago and can’t wait to see where it takes me.
If you want to read more about my Chicago escapades, check out my personal blog. I may not update it very often, but I eventually will — I promise.
